High Impact vs Low Impact HIIT

HIIT comes in many shapes and sizes when it comes to the exercises you can perform, and can be tailored to your ability level or to mitigate risks such as injury.

HIGH IMPACT

High impact refers to exercises that involve repeated contact with the ground, such as running, jumping, gymnastics, etc. Because of the repetitive impact, high impact HIIT can increase the risk of injury especially to joints when not performed correctly.

LOW IMPACT

Low impact refers to exercises that are more fluid and gentle on the joints, such as walking, swimming, and yoga. Low impact HIIT can be a great method for weight loss while decreasing potential for injury and even strengthening your body for higher impact training later on.
